Men’s Basketball:

Haverford scored a 46-42 victory over McDaniel Dec. 6 in Centennial Conference (CC) men’s basketball action.

Louis Sarris-Grau (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) tallied a game-high 16 points and added six blocked shots to lead McDaniel to a 72-55 victory over Swarthmore Dec. 3 in the Centennial Conference (CC) men’s basketball opener for both teams.

Kevin Henry (Potomac, Md./Bullis School) scored 13 points to lead McDaniel to a 55-41 men’s basketball victory Nov. 30 over Frostburg in the fifth-place game of the 2008 Provident Pride of Maryland tournament at Stevenson.

Louis Sarris-Grau (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) netted a game-high 18 points Nov. 29 to lead three McDaniel players in double figures and help give his team a 75-66 men’s basketball victory over Stevenson in the 2008 Provident Pride of Maryland tournament.

St. Mary’s (Md.) took an 84-77 non-conference men’s basketball victory over McDaniel Nov. 25 in the opening round of the 2008 Provident Pride of Maryland tournament.

Women’s Basketball:

Whitney Snoops (Millersville, Md./Archbishop Spalding) tallied 11 points Dec. 6 to lead three McDaniel players in double figures and help her squad to a 71-45 Centennial Conference (CC) women’s basketball victory at Bryn Mawr.

Whitney Snoops recorded her third career double-double, grabbing 10 rebounds to go with a career-best 18 points to help McDaniel snap its three-game skid and defeat Juniata 66-58 Dec. 4 in non-conference women’s basketball action.

Swarthmore scored a 71-69 victory over McDaniel Dec. 2 in the Centennial Conference (CC) women’s basketball opener for both teams.

Lebanon Valley netted a 57-48 victory over McDaniel Nov. 25 in non-conference women’s basketball action.

Indoor Track:

Kevin Bowman (Frederick, Md./Brunswick) finished third in the mile Dec. 6 to lead McDaniel at the Bucknell Opener in season-opening men’s and women’s indoor track and field action. Bowman was the first Division III runner across the line, finishing with a time of 4:31.07 to become one of nine Green Terror runners to qualify for the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships in the first outing of the season.
On the women’s side, Emily Peoples (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) and Roxanne Fleischer (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) led the way with CC-qualifying and personal best times in the mile. Peoples was the first Division III runner across the line in sixth with a time of 5:37.08 while Fleischer followed her across in a time of 5:40.68.

Wrestling:

Brock Glotfelty (Grantsville, Md./Northern Garrett) recorded a pair of victories Dec. 6 to lead McDaniel to a 1-1 day in a tri-match with Scranton and Centenary in non-conference wrestling action. The Green Terror (1-4) dropped a 26-9 decision to the Cyclones (4-2) before closing the day with a 35-14 victory over the Royals (1-8), who also fell to Centenary, 44-0.
