Paige Messersmith, a junior on the McDaniel field hockey team, was named to the All-Centennial Conference first team and the 2011 Lonstretch/NFHCA Division III All-South region second team.
The midfielder from Phoenix, Md., started all 18 games and ranked third on the squad with four goals and 11 points. Her three assists tied for second. She also tied for the team lead with five defensive saves. She became the Green Terror's 14th first-team All-CC selection and first since Brooke Dixon earned the nod in 2008. Hope Battista of Crofton, Md., was tabbed honorable mention.
