Senior Greg Bowman fired a two-day score of 145 Oct. 8-9 to notch his first collegiate invitational title and lead McDaniel to a team victory in a field of 14 teams at its own Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic in men’s golf action at The Bridges Golf Club.

The Green Terror combined to fire a total of 603 over the two-day, 36-hole event that included a season-best round of 295 in the first round Oct. 8 to stake the squad to a 14-stroke lead on the field.

Morgan Koopman shot a two-day total of 164 to lead McDaniel to a third-place finish Oct. 8-9 at the Kutztown Fall Invitational in women's golf action. The Green Terror combined to shoot a 36-hole total of 697, posting a 359 on Oct. 8 before improving by 21 shots to register a 338 on Oct. 9. Kutztown won the title at the seven-team invitational with a score of 627 (318-309).

Jake Nichols, a senior on the McDaniel football team, has been named Beyond Sports College Network Football Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 1. Nichols, a punter, punted seven times for 298 yards, averaging a season-best 42.6 yards per kick. He dropped four of his seven kicks inside the 20-yard line, including reeling off a season-long 61-yarder. He added two touchbacks.
