The April 6 game at Johns Hopkins was postponed to 3:30 p.m. April 13.
Jon Zimmerman (Lemoyne, Pa./Cedar Cliff) notched four hits and drew three walks April 5 to lead McDaniel to a doubleheader sweep of Swarthmore in Centennial Conference (CC) baseball action. The Green Terror (11-7, 4-3 CC) took the opener 8-4 before building an early lead in game two and holding on for an 11-8 victory. In the nightcap, Zimmerman drew three walks from his leadoff position to tie the career mark for walks with 62 bases on balls.

Men’s golf:
K.J. Mazurek (Rumson, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven) shot a two-day total of 154 April 5-6 to lead McDaniel to a fourth-place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Region Championships at Hershey Country Club. As a team, the Green Terror finished with a two-day total of 632.

Women’s golf:
Elyse Massa (Wescosville, Pa./Emmaus) shot a 41 on the front nine March 29 to pace McDaniel to a fourth-place finish at its own invitational in women’s golf action at the Bridges Golf Club. Scheduled to play a full 36 holes, the eight-team tournament was shortened to 27 holes after a mid-afternoon thunderstorm rendered parts of the course unplayable for a time that would have not allowed the entire field to finish the remainder of the tournament. The Green Terror finished with a combined score of 561, posting a round of 380 March 28 before shooting a combined 181 March 29. Allegheny won the team title with a 27-hole total of 494, shooting 331 to lead by 15 strokes after the first round of action.

Men’s lacrosse:
Swarthmore scored a 7-4 victory over McDaniel April 4 in Centennial Conference (CC) men’s lacrosse action. The Garnet (4-4, 3-2 CC), who trailed 3-2 midway through the second quarter, outscored the Green Terror (7-3, 1-2 CC) by a 5-1 margin over the final 33:19 of the game. McDaniel returns to action at No. 9 Gettysburg at 4 p.m. April 8.

Women’s Lacrosse:
Brittany Baer (Westminster, Md./Westminster), a junior on the McDaniel women’s lacrosse team, has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Apr. 5. Muhlenberg scored a 15-14 Centennial Conference (CC) women’s lacrosse victory April 4 over McDaniel while Brittany Baer recorded a career high-tying seven goals to lead the Green Terror (6-5, 2-3 CC), who played its fifth one-goal game of the season.

Outdoor track:
Heidi Davidhizar won the 100 hurdles to lead McDaniel to a fifth-place finish April 4 at the Goucher Invitational in women’s outdoor track and field action. The Green Terror women tallied 54 points while the men tallied 40 to finish eighth. York (Pa.) won the team title on both sides, recording 180 points on the women’s side and 214.5 on the men’s side. Davidhizar finished the 100 hurdles in 16.66 seconds to notch one of two McDaniel victories. Jennifer Garnett (Los Altos, Calif./Homestead) won the 400 with a time of 1:01.64. The Green Terror returns to action April 10 at the Bucknell Distance Festival.

Men’s tennis:
Muhlenberg took a 7-2 victory over McDaniel April 4 in Centennial Conference (CC) men’s tennis action.

Women’s tennis:
Muhlenberg dropped only eight games April 4 in a 9-0 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women’s tennis action.

Haverford won over McDaniel (11-8, 2-2 CC) 10-0 and 3-1 April 4 in Centennial Conference (CC) softball action.
