Spotlight shines twice on College at international photography expo

Professor Susan Ruddick Bloom and noted Baltimore photographer Richard Anderson ’71 ran into each other at their publisher’s booth during the late October PhotoPlus Expo. Anderson’s first book, “Digital Photography Best Practices and Workflow Handbook,” was recently released by publisher Focal Press. Bloom’s books, “Digital Collage and Painting, Using Photoshop and Painter to Create Fine Art” and “Digital Painting in Photoshop,” were published by Focal Press in 2006 and 2009 respectively. Bloom’s most recent book is an entirely different book with different techniques.

And, coincidentally, Bloom’s five-page article, “Pastel Painting in Photoshop,” and a profile of Anderson, “Bringing Passion to Best Practices,” by Ethan Salwen appear in the October/November issue of After Capture magazine – handed out to thousands of photographers at the international photography expo.
