Student-Volunteers, Duke of Edinburgh awardees recognized at campus luncheon

Griswold-Zepp Award in Volunteerism winner Matt Gill, a graduating Environmental Studies and Music major from Attleboro, Mass., discusses the community service project in which he took 17 students with him to Gary, W.Va., one of the nation’s poorest counties and the site of Matt’s capstone studies in environmental justice in which he focused on stream-water quality, to conduct town improvement projects.

McDaniel’s football team won the Pres. Roger Casey cardboard cut-out for being the top fund-raising group on McDaniel’s winning "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" team, and Team McDaniel won the Black Stiletto Trophy for being the top fund-raiser participating in the event.
