Baltimore Ravens flock to McDaniel

About 2,600 Baltimore Ravens fans cheered on players July 28, at the first day of Summer Training Camp. Daily practices run July 28-August 19, except for the following preseason game dates and the day after the game: July 30, August 5-6, 11-12, and 17-18.

On the first day, kids and adults sporting purple Ravens jerseys hooted and clapped for the team from the shaded bleachers, stood in line for autographs and pictures, and enjoyed the games and food at Ravenstown. As many as 60,000 fans are expected to check out the team’s preseason practices and new players like quarterback Steve McNair.

The College has served as summer host to NFL players for more than half a century. The Ravens have roosted on campus since 1996 and followed in the footsteps of the Baltimore Colts who trained here from 1953-1971.
