The McDaniel College Department of Art and Art History presents its spring exhibitions in Peterson Hall’s Rice Gallery. Receptions are free and open to the public. For information and gallery hours, call 410-857-2595.

-The Kathryn E. Wentz Undergraduate Student Show will be held April 4-14. The artists’ reception will be held 7-9 p.m. April 4 in the Rice Gallery. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors compete in this juried show featuring sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, painting, computer graphics and other media.

- “A Class Apart,” an exhibition by senior Studio Art majors specializing in graphic design, will be held April 18-28. The artists’ reception will be held 7-9 p.m. April 18.

-“Between Uniontown and Main,” an exhibition by senior Studio Art majors, will be held May 2-12. The artists’ reception will be held 7-9 p.m. May 2. The exhibit features painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, jewelry and other media.

McDaniel College, a private four-year college of the liberal arts and sciences, was founded in 1867 as Western Maryland College. Students pursue more than 60 programs of study, including dual majors and student-designed majors.  The 1,600 undergraduates and 1,600 graduate students receive personal attention and take advantage of leadership opportunities in the close-knit community, where the average class size is 17 and professors are dedicated mentors.  The 160-acre campus is located in Westminster, Md., 30 miles northwest of Baltimore and 56 miles north of Washington, D.C.
