New undergraduate courses spark curiosity

This fall, McDaniel College is offering more than 70 new undergraduate courses in more than 20 different subjects.

Students can develop strategies for preserving and restoring ecosystems in the course “Conservation Biology,” or learn how to solve environmental problems through collaborations with the business world in “Environmental Economics.” Learn about history or write your own: the College is offering classes in “Women in U.S. History,” “Global Inequality and Social Change,” “Genocide in the Modern World,” and courses in African American historical literature and memoir writing. The technology savvy can learn computer cryptography, online video editing and digital photography. Or, students can become masters of the dance floor or stage by taking “Hip-Hop Dance” or “Unarmed Stage Combat.”
