Finance Your Education

McDaniel Is Possible. Let Us Show You How.

More than 90% of McDaniel College students receive some type of financial assistance — our financial aid staff is here to help make the process go smoothly for you. We invest over $30 million annually in grants and scholarships to ensure that students from all kinds of financial backgrounds are able to experience a McDaniel education.

The 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) season will begin earlier than previous FAFSA application cycles. Beginning on October 1, 2016, you will be able to fill out the FAFSA for the 2017–2018 school year. (In the past, students had to wait until Jan. 1). In addition, applicants will no longer need to estimate income and tax information and will be able to retrieve their 2015 data (and parents’ too, if required) directly from the IRS, right from the first day the FAFSA is available. You will have information about your Expected Family Contributions earlier, helping you as you go through the college application and selection process.

For more information see the U.S. Department of Education FAFSA Changes for 2017-18.

The McDaniel website gives you an overview of our financial aid process — how to apply, how it works, and how to keep it. You'll also find descriptions of federal and state aid programs, as well as resources for external scholarships and money management.
