Dr. Joshua Joseph Baron

Josh (on the left) grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and after a stint in the Marine Corps earned his B.A. in philosophy from Pennsylvania State University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy from Temple University. Josh specializes in ethics and aesthetics, particularly the ethics and aesthetics of violence. Among other courses, Josh teaches Issue of Social Justice, South Park and Contemporary Social Issues, and Philosophy of Violent Media. Josh spends all his non-McDaniel time with his wife, son, and dog in Baltimore, Maryland. Josh is also happy to talk anytime about 80’s pop music, reality television, or video games.
