Workforce Development Scholarships

McDaniel College Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) is proud to announce Workforce Development Scholarships for the Fall 2020 semester. Scholarships are available in programs that relate directly to areas of need in the state of Maryland and beyond. McDaniel has created this scholarship program to support career enhancement, advancement or change as we enter a challenging economy and more competitive job market resulting from COVID-19.

Eligibility 

All Fall 2020 applicants are eligible to apply. Students must be admitted to an eligible program prior to July 17, 2020 to receive the scholarship.

Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate through their application the ability to contribute meaningfully to their community by applying their new degree.

Selection Process

Up to five scholarships can be awarded for each program depending on the quality of the applicant pool. A Scholarship Review Committee that includes the Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies and Program Coordinators will select the winners. All scholarship applicants will be notified of their status no later than August 1, 2020.

The review process will include an assessment of the overall strength of the applicant along with the quality of their Workforce Development Scholarship Application, with special attention paid to their scholarship essay.

Scholarship Details:

First semester free tuition (maximum 6 credits).

An additional $1000 scholarship will be awarded for the Spring 2021 semester as long as scholarship recipients maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and full-time enrollment (minimum 6 credits).
