Donor Recognition

In honor of the founding of our college in 1867, the Founders Society recognizes donors who annually support the college through gifts of $1,867 or greater. More than 80% of fundraising dollars come from our Founders.

The GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) Founders Society offers younger alumni an opportunity to give back through incremental levels of support based on the number of years since graduation, allowing them to build to the $1,867 level in their first 10 years.

The President's Circle of the Founders Society recognizes those who give at the highest level—$10,000 or more annually.

Members of the Founders Society receive special communications throughout the year and are recognized annually through invitations to special events including our annual donor recognition event.

Make a Founders Society Gift

All gifts matter, especially when they are meaningful and consistent. The Arch Society recognizes consistent giving to the college at all levels. Members include our most loyal donors who make gifts - of any amount. They are recognized for 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of giving. Those who achieve 25 years of giving receive special recognition including an invitation to our annual donor recognition event.

The Legacy Society recognizes living alumni and friends of the college who have included McDaniel in ways such as their estate plans through bequest provision, charitable gift annuities and trusts, gifts of life insurance or retirement plan assets and retained life estate. Members of the Legacy Society celebrate the lasting impact that planned gifts have on the College’s long term success and are recognized on our Legacy Tree on campus, as well as at our donor recognition event.
