Born and raised in Honolulu in a bilingual household, I attended summer school in Guangzhou, Zhongshan, and Beijing and earned a bachelor's in Chinese Language and Culture. Cantonese and Mandarin were my first languages, followed by French, Spanish, German, Russian, Italian, Latin, Modern Standard Arabic, Japanese, Pashtun, Xhosa, Swahili, and I dabble in Ukrainian.
I also earned a Ph.D. in Classical Theatre & Musicology from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and a J.D. in International Criminal Law (China & Japan) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
As you can see, I love languages and music...and enjoy working on Chinese labor and immigration law!
