A new way to share the McDaniel story

Valentine sweets, swag and a brand new video introduced the McDaniel campus community to a fresh new way to talk about the College. Centered on the word “become” — the verb at the heart of everything we do here on the Hill — the new approach will roll out publicly in the coming months.

Watch the new McDaniel video here:

Extensive research and testing with prospective students guided College leadership in its selection of “Become” as the essence of the McDaniel experience.

“Become” reflects how professors and coaches are totally devoted to helping each student transform personal passions into academic and professional pursuits.

“Become” echoes how students are constantly climbing on the Hill, gaining new vantage points, interests and experiences along the way — how with every step, students become who they always sensed they could be.

Fresh colors and fonts and a vibrant McDaniel College tartan bring to life the notion of the Hill as a place of multiple paths, intersections and possibilities. In the spotlight is our one-of-a-kind mascot, and what it means to tackle any challenge like a Green Terror.

“McDaniel is among thousands of colleges in the United States competing for recognition,” says McDaniel President Roger Casey. “As we mark our 150th anniversary and look toward the future, the timing is ideal to tell the McDaniel story in a compelling new way that clearly and consistently articulates who we are and why we matter.”
