Year-Round Pell

Federal Pell Grants are awarded to high need families who qualify as determined by the FAFSA. Students are eligible for 6 years (or 12 semesters) of Pell. This is referred to as 600% Pell Lifetime Eligibility Usage (LEU). Receiving Pell between the fall and spring semester as a full time student equals 100% of Pell.

Year-round Pell allows students to receive up to 150% of a regular grant award over the course of the academic year so that they can continue taking classes in the summer and finish their degrees faster. To be eligible to receive this additional 50% of grant funding you must be registered for at least 6 credits (half time enrollment). Please be aware that this usage is counted toward the 600% LEU. See examples below.
