Donor Recognition

Donor Recognition picture of McDaniels Alumni

Every gift to McDaniel enriches the educational experience at the College. Whether supporting a guest lecture series or collaborative research on cancer drugs, each gift is vitally important to our ongoing mission. And each gift is deeply appreciated. McDaniel recognizes and thanks donors through several giving circles:

The Founders Society

The Founders Society recognizes donors whose annual gifts total $1,000 or more and is the mainspring of financial support for the College's mission. These gifts provide educational funding flexibility through unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund, support students through gifts for educational facilities, scholarships and the endowment, enable faculty to pursue excellence through gifts for library acquisitions, equipment, and faculty support funds, and foster creativity through support of new programs and enhanced services.

Active membership in the Founders Society brings special privileges in recognition of the significant role that these individuals play in advancements at the College. Founders are listed each year in the College's Report of Gifts and receive periodic updates and special invitations to campus lectures and events.

For more information about becoming a member of the Founders Society, please contact Elizabeth Anderson, Associate Director, Office of Institutional Advancement, 410-857-2792.

The Rouzer Society

The Rouzer Society recognizes living alumni and friends of the College who have included McDaniel in their estate plans. The Rouzer Society recognizes living alumni, parents, and friends of the College who have informed McDaniel that they have included the College in their estate plans in one of several ways, including:

  • Bequest provision
  • Charitable gift annuities and trusts
  • Gifts of life insurance or retirement plan assets
  • Retained life estate

The College is deeply grateful to Rouzer Society members for their foresight and vision. For information on how to join, contact the Office of Gift Planning at (410) 857-2256.

The Green & Gold Club

The Green & Gold Club recognizes alumni, faculty, parents, and friends whose gifts support Green Terror athletic programs. The increasingly competitive environment of Division III athletics requires additional financial support above and beyond the College’s athletic operating budget. The Club's mission is to enhance the athletic experience of our student-athletes through the financial support of its members.

The Cornerstone Society

The Cornerstone Society recognizes young alumni who have made annual commitments to support the College. Established in 2007, the Cornerstone Society recognizes graduates of the last decade who are dedicated to supporting the current students and mission of McDaniel.

Society membership goes to all GOLD alumni (Graduates Of the Last Decade) whose annual gifts total $25 or more and give consecutively for three or more years.

Select recognition as members of the Keystone Club of the Cornerstone Society goes to:

  • All GOLD alumni 1-5 years out whose annual gifts total $250 or more
  • All GOLD alumni 6-9 years out whose annual gifts total $500 or more

Cornerstone gifts to the Annual Fund support scholarships, faculty research, programs for new students, and exceptional academic resources.

As a Cornerstone Society member, you'll be invited to a variety of events including happy hours, community service projects, as well as networking and career-building opportunities.

What’s more, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing your gifts are helping change lives.

YOUR GIFT can be paid in installments. A payment plan can be arranged by emailing Sam Wagner.
