Booklovers discover great reads

More than 200 librarians and book group members gathered at McDaniel on Sept. 19 to hear award-winning author Laura Lippman; Nancy Pearl, librarian and author of the Book Lust series, and Nora Rawlinson, creator of EarlyWord.com at an event sponsored by the Carroll County Public Library.
Rawlinson gave a talk on the trends in publishing; celebrity librarian Pearl interviewed Baltimore author Laura Lippman about her newest book, "The Most Dangerous Thing," followed by Pearl's talk on best practices for managing your book group discussion.
Book signings and photos with Pearl were also offered.
