McDaniel College Theatre Arts department presents comic actor and author Steve Martin's "The Underpants." Performances are Thursday, April 25-Saturday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m., on the Mainstage Theatre in WMC Alumni Hall. Note: the show contains adult material and is intended for mature audiences.

Tad Janes, producing artistic director of the Maryland Ensemble Theatre in Frederick, Maryland, guest directs the McDaniel College Theatre Arts department's production of "The Underpants," an adaptation of Carl Sternheim’s classic 1910 farce by comic actor and author Steve Martin.

Set in 1910 Germany, Louise Maske, a housewife bored of her bureaucrat husband and their conservative existence, attends a royal parade, where a wardrobe malfunction causes unexpected attention.

Performances are Thursday, April 25-Saturday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m., on the Mainstage Theatre in WMC Alumni Hall. Note: the show contains adult material and is intended for mature audiences.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students, seniors (over 60), active military members and veterans, as well as those with a McDaniel College ID. For ticket information, call 410-857-2448.

Danielle Carter, senior Political Science and Theatre Arts major from Rockville, Maryland, portrays Louise, and Sam Durocher, junior Theatre Arts major from Baltimore, is Louise's husband, Theo.

  • Jeremy Volker, senior Sociology major from Halethorpe, Maryland, as Klinglehoff
  • Arielle Harris, sophomore Biology major from Baltimore, as The King

Grace Hill, sophomore Accounting and Theatre Arts major, from Essex, Maryland, is the stage manager for the production.
