High school and undergraduate college students teamed up to present their best app ideas to a panel of Industry judges from financial, graphic design and tech backgrounds at the event held at Carroll Community College.

Sophomore Business Administration major Javon Spencer of New Castle, Delaware, was part of the winning team for the “Best Pitch” category. Spencer, along with students from Carroll Community College, Westminster High School, and Liberty High School, created a “ReDorm” app, which is a recycling program for college students giving a second life to dorm furniture and textbooks for incoming students.

The team that included sophomore Marketing major Tasir Money of West Deptford, New Jersey, presented an online clothing store, God's Angels.

“The students came with a lot of great ideas this year,” said Kim Samuelson, Program Director at MAGIC. “It was great to see all of their visions come together, and each team did a fantastic job.”
