Reason #8 – Win Big in the Centennial Conference

When you become a member of one of McDaniel’s 24 NCAA Division III athletic teams, you’ll be able to perform on the playing fields and in the classroom with equal intensity. The Green Terror competes in the high-achieving Centennial Conference comprising 11 selective liberal arts colleges.

“D-3 is about striving for personal excellence. It’s the same expectation we have in the classroom,” says Head Swim Coach Jeff Hiestand, who helped Suzanne Stettinius’11 qualify for the Olympics as a member of the women’s U.S. Modern Pentathlon Team and cheered her from the sidelines in London. “When I work with swimmers who honestly want to be the best they can be, I’m willing to work with anyone at any level.”
