The McDaniel College Department of Music presents a piano recital by John Salmon, a faculty member at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with faculty members Bo Eckard on bass and Jon Seligman on drums, at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 29 in McDaniel Lounge. McDaniel actors will perform the world premiere of “Bring me Giants,” a musical based on Cyrano de Bergerac, at 8 p.m. March 5-8 in WMC Alumni Hall. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students. For more information, call the box office at 410-857-2448.

The Philosophy and Religious Studies Department presents “The Idea and Role of Community in Contemporary African Philosophical Practice,” a lecture by the noted African philosopher D.A.
