McDaniel swimmers are scholars too

The College Swimming Coaches Association of America recently released its Team Scholar All-American list for the Spring 2012 semester and McDaniel was among the Division III teams recognized.

The Green Terror was once again highly successful in the classroom, posting a collective team grade-point average of 3.56.

McDaniel was one of 122 programs in the country recognized for having a team GPA of 3.0 or better, ranking 15th on the list that included four Centennial Conference (CC) teams. The Green Terror was the highest ranking team among those from the conference on the list.

The academic honors capped a banner season for the program, which recorded 380.5 points at the CC championship meet in February for its highest point total in the 19-year history of the championship. The squad was also recognized for its academic prowess after the fall semester with its 3.45 cumulative GPA.
