Wrestler Ryan O'Boyle of North Reading, Mass., and swimmer Brad Brooks of Newark, Del., finish in the top 10 at NCAA Div. III championships.
Sophomore Ryan O'Boyle won three matches to finish fourth at the NCAA Div. III wrestling championship March 14-15, becoming the ninth All-American in McDaniel program history.
Sophomore Brad Brooks finished 10th the 1650 freestyle on March 22, the final day of the 2014 NCAA Division III men's swimming championship at IU Natatorium. The place earned Brooks honorable mention All-America accolades.
Peter Merkel of Ellicott City, Md., finished second in the 3,000 meters with a new program-record time to lead McDaniel at the Battleground Relays hosted by Mary Washington in season-opening men's outdoor track and field action on March 21-22. Merkel finished the 3,000 meters in a time of 9:13.20 to break the record by nearly six seconds.
Jasmine McCormick of Antioch, Calif., won the 400 hurdles March 21-22 to lead McDaniel at the Battleground Relays hosted by Mary Washington in season-opening women's outdoor track and field action.
For the third straight invitational, McDaniel's men's golf team posted the low score March 22 for a 12-stroke victory in the Gettysburg Spring Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club. The Green Terror combined to card a round of 310 behind a trio of 76s.
