The Hill magazine heats up the season

March 24, 2008

The spring issue of The Hill is hot off the presses with stories about catastrophe, controversy and challenge. Find out what Karen Clark ’79 knows about the next big disaster. Learn about our infamous undergrad, former Communist Whittaker Chambers, who once stashed stolen government documents in a pumpkin patch on his farm near campus. And be inspired by1952 alumnus Leroy Merritt’s $5-million challenge gift, given despite his disappointment over the College’s name change.

Look for your copy in mailboxes in the next week. Don’t forget to participate in our new Letters to the Editor section. Tell us what you think about what you read in the magazine — we can take it. Write to kasch@mcdaniel.edu or Kim Asch, Managing Editor, The Hill magazine, McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, MD 21157.
