McDaniel receives national recognition in college rankings

From U.S. News and World Report and The Princeton Review to a new Wall Street Journal ranking, McDaniel College is recognized among the top colleges and universities in the nation.

Here is a selection of recent accolades:

• McDaniel remains the top-ranked Maryland institution on U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Value Schools” list among regional universities in the North for academic quality and affordability. McDaniel also ranks as one of the best regional universities in the North in their 2024 “Best Colleges” rankings. In addition, McDaniel is listed among “Top Performers on Social Mobility” and lauded for “Best Undergraduate Teaching.”
  
• McDaniel is highlighted in a new ranking from The Wall Street Journal of “America’s Best Colleges” and is the only independent college in Maryland, other than Johns Hopkins University, to make the list.
  
• McDaniel appears in Washington Monthly’s annual College Guide among the best master’s universities in the nation and as a “Best Bang for the Buck,” which recognizes schools “that help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.”
  
• McDaniel is one of “The Best 389 Colleges” in the 2024 edition of The Princeton Review’s annual college guide and featured among the “Best Mid-Atlantic” colleges. McDaniel is also recognized as a “Best Value College” for offering the best return on investment (ROI) with stellar academics and strong career outcomes of graduates at an affordable cost.
  
• McDaniel is included among Money Magazine’s “Best Colleges in America” for providing an affordable, quality education that leads to alumni success.
  
• McDaniel is named a College of Distinction and is the only independent college in Maryland also highlighted for affordability. The college’s Business, Education, and Career Development programs were also recognized.
