We will expand alliances within the city of Westminster and the region through more integrated town-gown relations to enhance the student and employee experience.

Strategic Focus: Community Relations

Westminster is McDaniel's hometown. As we enhance and expand our community partnerships, McDaniel and Westminster will benefit from shared connection and goals. Increased academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular opportunities for students will invite them off the Hill and onto Main Street. Partnering with Westminster businesses, providing increased access and transportation, and working together collaboratively will help students take advantage of everything Westminster has to offer.

BUILD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS: We will expand alliances within the city of Westminster and the region to enhance the student and employee experience.

Goal 3.1: Establish and promote a more integrated relationship between McDaniel and the city/region. OBJECTIVES

Identify and plan thoughtful and purposeful opportunities for town/gown interaction.
Create consistent and effective strategies to increase engagement.
Provide opportunities for community leaders to advise and/or participate in collaborative initiatives and activities with a particular focus on DEIJ.
Collaborate with community partners to enhance a sense of safety and belonging in Westminster.
