What: New Student Orientation: Fall 2024
When: Aug. 22 - 25, 2024: New Student Orientation (NSO) brings you onto campus a few days before returning students arrive for the fall semester. Designed to engage and excite you about McDaniel, NSO is filled with activities and events to acclimate you to your new college community. Led by a team of enthusiastic peer mentors, you will attend workshops, team-building exercises, Introduction Convocation, and a walk down Main Street to meet more of the off-campus community.

An Introduction to Academics First Year Seminar Connect With a Faculty Member

An important part of the first-year experience at McDaniel is the First Year Seminar course. As part of the First Year Program at McDaniel, all first-year students take one First Year Seminar course during their first semester at McDaniel College. First Year Seminars are innovative topical and thematic courses on a range of subjects suitable for first-year students that provide an introduction to the liberal arts and an academic transition to college.
