More than 90% of McDaniel College students receive some type of financial assistance — and our financial aid staff is here to help make the process go smoothly for you. We invest over $50 million annually in need-based grants and merit scholarships to ensure that students from all kinds of financial backgrounds are able to experience a McDaniel education.

To apply for federal student aid, such as federal grants, work-study, and loans, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completing the FAFSA makes you eligible for need-based financial aid from the federal and state government, and from McDaniel.

Need-Based Grants

Need-based grants can be provided by the federal government, the state government or McDaniel College. Need-based grants are subject to change annually when you submit a new FAFSA.
