More than 90% of McDaniel College students receive some type of financial assistance — and our financial aid staff is here to help make the process go smoothly for you. We invest over $50 million annually in need-based grants and merit scholarships to ensure that students from all kinds of financial backgrounds are able to experience a McDaniel education.

There are many types of financial aid available to students pursuing a degree at McDaniel College. These can include grants, scholarships, student loans, and work-study programs. Financial aid specialists at McDaniel College can help you understand the financial aid opportunities available to you.

Visit Incentive Grant Undergraduate students only

McDaniel offers a $4000 ($1000/year) Visit Incentive Grant to all students who visit our campus in-person or virtually prior to being admitted.

Scholarships Undergraduate students only

Merit scholarships are awarded to students based on the overall quality of their application for admission, including academic preparation and performance, leadership, community engagement and more.

Need-Based Grants Undergraduate students only

Need-based grants can be provided by the federal government, the state government or McDaniel College. Need-based grants are subject to change annually when you submit a new FAFSA.
