Events are designated by a T are mandatory for Transfer students.

Residential Student Move-In Gill Center/Klitzberg Pavilion | 9 a.m. - noon

Are you living on campus? Come to Klitzberg Pavilion in the Gill Center to pick up your keys and move into your residence hall for the academic year. Giant Pharmacy will also be offering a vaccination clinic here during this time.

McDaniel College Campus Store Open 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. | Roj Student Center, Lower Level

IT Help Desk 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. | Hoover Library, First Floor

Do you have computer or IT questions? Need to get your photo taken for your McDaniel 1card? Head to the IT Help Desk.

Lunch Available 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. | Englar Dining Hall (Roj Student Center, Lower Level)

Lunch is free for new McDaniel students. Family members may pay with cash or credit card at the door.

Legacy Photo 1:30 p.m. | Hoover Library

Calling all legacy families! If your parent, stepparent, or grandparent went to school here, this is for you! Join us for a special legacy family photo to celebrate with fellow alumni family members. Don’t forget your McDaniel/WMC gear!

12:30 - 2 p.m. Cultural Transitions | Hill Hall, 110

For for International and Multinational Students: Join us for a special welcome session for students and families who also call “home” a place outside of the United States. Discuss how cultural perspectives influence experiences in and out of the classroom.

Letting Go: A Time to Separate 2 p.m.

At this time, we ask families and guests to say their goodbyes so that new students can begin the Orientation program.

Join other parents and families as our staff welcomes you to our college community.

For Residential Students: Meetings with your RA 2:15 - 3:15 p.m. | Your Residence Hall

Students living on campus should report back to their floors to officially meet their resident assistant (RA) and other students living in their new community. Residents should follow the signs posted on their floor to find their meeting space. Students ONLY; families should not attend.

Commuter Student Reception 2:15 - 3:15 p.m. | Ensor Lounge, Roj Student Center

Kick off orientation by networking with other commuters and enjoy some light refreshments.

All New Students Gather 3:30 p.m. | Memorial Plaza (Red Square)

All new students will gather with their Peer Mentor and fellow classmates for introductions and information about Orientation. Please look for a sign with the name of your FYS Class or Peer Mentor.

First Meeting with Your Peer Mentor 3:45 - 4:30 p.m. | Various Locations

Your peer mentor will have your meeting location.

Dinner with Your Peer Mentor 5-7 p.m. | Englar Dining Hall

Magician 8 p.m. | Baker Memorial Chapel (Big Baker)

Join us for an evening of magic and illusion with professional magician, Trigg Watson. In his two decades on stage, Trigg has been seen on “Penn & Teller,” “America’s Got Talent,” and “Masters of Illusion.”
