Interfaith Prayer Service 11 a.m. | Little Baker Chapel

Join us as Dr. Richard Smith, Associate Vice President for Institutional Mission and Belonging and College Chaplain, leads a meaningful interfaith prayer service. Come together in a spirit of unity, reflection, and worship.

Community Service Opportunity 1-3 p.m. | Roj Student Center, Mid-Level

Join McDaniel’s service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, in hands-on service activities that benefit the local Carroll County community and beyond. Drop by for fun and fellowship and learn about more ways to get involved in community service at McDaniel College.

Bus to Target and Walmart 1:30-4:30 p.m. | Water Tower

Meet at the water tower for a trip to gather essentials. The bus will be doing continual trip rotations throughout this time.

Soccer Scrimmage 3 p.m. | Soccer Complex

Come and join Campus Recreation to tailgate and cheer on the men’s soccer team in its first scrimmage of the season! There will be snacks, a halftime game, and giveaways.

Lumen Scholars Program Welcome Dinner 4:30-6 p.m. | Coley Rice Lounge, McDaniel Hall

This is a special dinner for students in the Lumen Scholars program.

Unwind, Uplift, and Unlock your Wellness Era 6-8 p.m. | Hoover Library Garden Terrace

Join the Wellness Center staff to relax, learn how to cope with stress, and get ready for the semester ahead. Come pet therapy dogs, make friendship bracelets, play games, and create a self-care kit, and pick up some giveaways.

On Monday, August 25, be sure to attend the First Day of Class Celebration in Memorial Plaza (Red Square) from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

On Wednesday, August 27, make plans to attend the Involvement Fair in the ANW Quad from 5-7 p.m.
