    McDaniel College graduates the Class of 2025

    Among family and friends, 380 bachelor’s candidates crossed the stage to receive their degrees on Friday, May 23, during McDaniel College’s 155th Commencement ceremony. Military and business leader Linda L. Singh addressed the graduating class, talking to them about power, resilience, self-care, and leaning into the uncertainty of the world. An Honorary Doctor of Public Service was also awarded to former U.S. Representative C. A. Dutch Ruppersberger.

    Class of 2025 seniors honored with academic, activity, and leadership awards

    On the eve of their graduation, McDaniel College seniors in the Class of 2025 were honored with academic, activity, and leadership awards. Prior to the event, the graduating seniors took part in the Arch Processional led by McDaniel President Julia Jasken.

    Seven ROTC cadets commissioned as Army officers

    Seven McDaniel graduating seniors, who served as members of the Green Terror Battalion, received commissions as Army officers on May 22. The keynote speaker for the ceremony was retired Col. James Martin Jr. ’93, a vice president of executive technology services for Gartner’s large enterprise division and the 2024-25 president of the McDaniel College Alumni Council.

    All 380 bachelor’s degree graduates. A diverse group, they have 35 different undergraduate majors, including six student-designed majors.     Master’s students earn degrees at 155th Commencement 

    At McDaniel’s 2025 Graduate Commencement Ceremony, 283 students celebrated the achievement of earning their master’s degrees, conferred from 22 programs.  Two special awards were presented during the ceremony. One student award was given to a master’s degree recipient in the Deaf Education program, while a faculty award was presented to a senior online graduate adjunct lecturer in School Librarianship.

    McDaniel celebrates 155th Commencement

    McDaniel College celebrates its 155th Commencement for the Class of 2025. The college's Graduate Commencement Ceremony is Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. and the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will be held Friday, May 23, at 1 p.m. Both ceremonies take place in the college’s Gill Center. A live stream of both ceremonies will also be available online at mcdaniel.edu/commencement.

    McDaniel College graduates the Class of 2024

    Among family and friends, 407 bachelor’s candidates crossed the stage to receive their degrees on Saturday, May 18, during McDaniel College’s 154th Commencement ceremony. Higher education leader Freeman A. Hrabowski III addressed the graduating class encouraging them to never stop learning and to be confident in who they are, and an Honorary Doctor of Public Service was awarded to local business leader and philanthropist Greg W. Kahlert.

    Master’s students earn degrees at 154th Commencement

    At McDaniel’s 2024 Graduate Commencement Ceremony, 296 students celebrated the achievement of earning their master’s degrees, conferred from 16 programs. The keynote speaker was Mona Kerby, the L. Stanley Bowlsbey Endowed Chair at McDaniel.

    Ridington and Argonaut awards presented at Class of 2024 Commencement

    History and Biology double major Zachary E. Brown was honored with The Edith Farr Ridington Writing Award for writing the best senior paper. Five undergraduates were tied for the highest cumulative GPA and were recipients of the Argonaut Award: Haley E. Arnold, Kendall Rose Catlin, Signé T. Kula, Brenna R. Mayberry, and Ariana Kaylin Stormont.
