McDaniel Athletics announces new head field hockey coach

Kati Nearhouse has been announced as McDaniel College's new field hockey coach.

"We are thrilled that Kati is joining the McDaniel Athletics family," said Athletics Director Adam Hertz. "Her successful career as a student athlete, experience as a coach at some of the preeminent college programs in the country, and her background in counseling give her the necessary tools for success. She's a team player with a wholistic approach to athletics as a part of the educational experience."

Nearhouse was on the coaching staff at Syracuse, Bryant, and University of Maryland. Most recently, she worked as a school counselor for Baltimore County Public Schools. She will be the 15th head coach in program history.
