McDaniel College alumnus David Carrasco with his friend Toni Morrison

David Carrasco ’67, who holds the inaugural Neil L. Rudenstine Professor of the Study of Latin America at Harvard University, has a role in “Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am,” the new documentary about Nobel Prize winner and renowned storyteller Toni Morrison. Carrasco lauds his friend’s legendary command of the written word and calls Morrison, “... the Emancipation Proclamation of the English language!”

The film is currently showing in theaters nationwide and opens July 12 in Baltimore at The Charles Theater.
