McDaniel students volunteer in annual Tournament of Champions

As the culminating event for McDaniel's NCAA Division III week celebration, over 100 McDaniel College students teamed up with more than 100 elementary and middle school students with special needs. Organized by students in the college’s adapted physical education class in conjunction with Carroll County Public Schools, participants challenged themselves individually in various athletic events alongside McDaniel buddies.

As the culminating event for McDaniel's NCAA Division III week celebration, over 100 McDaniel College students teamed up with more than 100 elementary and middle school students with special needs on Friday, April 14. Organized by students in the college’s adapted physical education class in conjunction with Carroll County Public Schools, participants challenged themselves individually in various athletic events alongside McDaniel buddies.

The students participated in events, such as parachute play, beach ball volleyball, bowling, among others. All events were modified to meet the individual needs of the participants. All students earned stickers for the events they completed and received participation medals.
