The presentation will be led by DiscoverMe/RecoverMe, an organization that utilizes storytelling and acknowledgment of positive intrinsic qualities to encourage an emotional foundation for recovery from trauma and its manifestations

This workshop facilitates understanding of the importance of storytelling in culture, the function of the griot in the context of trauma, analyzing the primary components of a story, application of positive intrinsic qualities in effort to create and fortify emotional foundations for recovery and healing, and modalities for expressing one’s story.
