Welcome back! We hope you enjoyed your snowy start to the semester. Even as everyone stays safe and warm in their dorms, there is still plenty you can get involved with!

Perhaps you are interested in serving as a McDaniel Local Leader, Peer Mentor, or Engagement Peer? Applications are now open! Deadline to apply is February 28th.

There are many benefits associated with being a student leader on a college campus. Student leaders become more engaged. Students who are more engaged display higher rates of graduation (with higher GPA’s) than their peers. The connections student leaders make with other students, faculty and staff turn into references for future employment or educational opportunities.

Please review the Student Leader application packet prior to completing the online application. This can be done by visiting the OSE or FYE suite (across from the Pub in the Roj Center) next week or by emailing firstyearteam@mcdaniel.edu.

For questions related to the Local Leader and Peer Mentor position, email Erin Benevento (ebenevento@mcdaniel.edu). For questions related to the Engagement Peer position, email Amanda (agelber@mcdaniel.edu).
