More than 40 students, mentored by 15 professors, participated in McDaniel College’s Student-Faculty Collaborative Summer Research Program in 2020. While 13 professors led virtual research projects due to the pandemic, two Chemistry professors performed COVID-19 research with students in labs on campus.

Supported through the generosity of McDaniel donors, the Student-Faculty Collaborative Research experience is an 8-week program for undergraduate students from all majors to pursue research on a topic that interests them. Gifts from donors fund room & board, stipends for both students and faculty, and research materials.
