I have been working my way south from Williams College (with a brief side trip to the University of Bergen in Norway) to the University of Connecticut to Cornell University and finally to McDaniel College, arriving in 2013. In all those moves I have been interested in the basic notions of calculus and how they apply in strange new settings.

My research is on how to work with derivatives on fractals and how that differs from the normal calculus on the real numbers. This is a project that over 20 undergraduate students (as of Summer 2019) have helped me with. I am always looking for new collaborators.
