Holly Chalk

I completed my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from The Ohio State University and my postdoctoral internship at the Baltimore VAMC. I teach courses in Abnormal Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Couple Counseling, Writing in Psychology, The Psychology of Star Wars, and many more.

I am also a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice. I work with adults, families, and couples who are dealing with a wide variety of diagnoses; including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, adjustment, trauma, personality disorders and relationship conflict.

My research interests focus broadly on adjustment to major life transitions and the impact on mental health. My current research focuses on how young people navigate the transition to adulthood. Please contact me if you're interested in participating in my lab.

"Without Dr. Chalk's guidance, I wouldn’t have made it through undergrad. She is such a great mentor and professor. Her counseling and couples counseling classes convinced me to be a therapist and she was always my biggest supporter."
