Economics & Business Administration
Nick Kahn

I have been with the Economics and Business Administration Department at McDaniel College since 2017 and I primarily teach courses in Microeconomics, Labor Economics, and The Economics of Sports. I also have experience teaching statistics and econometrics. My fundamental goal as a professor is to inspire my students to become more thoughtful and informed individuals.

I earned my PhD in economics from American University in 2013. My dissertation was comprised of quantitative analyses of racial disparities in specific aspects of the U.S. Child Welfare System. Overall, my research aims to have a positive impact on the lives of those who have been marginalized by society. To accomplish this aim, I have developed expertise in labor economics, child welfare services, social policy, and applied econometrics.
