The McDaniel community welcomes friends and family to the Hill to celebrate 150 years with art exhibitions, concerts, a Homecoming birthday party and spectacular holiday light show. The College’s events calendar is also packed with two theatre productions, a FACE Tournées French Film Festival, Focus on Aging sessions, and talks on water politics, the Yellow River in China and artificial intelligence.

Everyone is welcome at the 150th birthday party during Homecoming Oct. 21 with entertainment, children’s activities, historic art exhibition and reception as well as a cake-cutting ceremony at halftime. The celebration continues during the holiday season with a light show at Gill Stadium on Thursdays through Sundays, 5–9:30 p.m., Nov. 25–Dec. 31.

“Carrie: The Musical,” directed by McDaniel alumnus Josh Selzer, takes the stage Nov. 15–19. Concerts abound in late November and early December, including performances by the College’s African percussion ensemble, choir, jazz ensemble, gospel choir, band and Masterworks Chorale of Carroll County.
