    Speakers announced for 2026 undergraduate and graduate Commencement ceremonies

    McDaniel College announces Commencement speakers for the 2026 undergraduate and graduate ceremonies to be held Saturday, May 23. Undergraduate Commencement speaker is McDaniel College Trustee Robert Pick '92, P’25, executive vice president and chief information officer for Tokio Marine North America. Ochieng’ K’Olewe, the L. Stanley Bowlsbey Endowed Chair at McDaniel, will provide remarks during the graduate ceremony. More information is available at mcdaniel.edu/commencement.

    Friends School of Baltimore and McDaniel College form partnership

    In addition to Friends School, McDaniel College has created admission pathways for students at a number of high schools. Other schools include Saint John’s Catholic Prep in Maryland, Saint Joseph Academy in New Jersey, and Berks Catholic High School, Delone Catholic High School, and York Catholic in Pennsylvania.

    Wenner-Wingate Memorial Lecture features political sportswriter and author Dave Zirin, sports editor of The Nation and host of the Edge of Sports Television on The Real News Network, who speaks on sports and resistance in the United States. The lecture takes place on Tuesday, April 7, at 7 p.m. in Coley Rice Lounge, McDaniel Hall. It is free and open to the public.
