First-year and transfer students awarded Educator and Military Legacy Scholarships

McDaniel College has awarded more than 100 first-year and transfer students for fall 2025 with Educator and Military Legacy Scholarships, valued at up to $132,000. Any student who qualifies for one of McDaniel's Legacy Scholarships is automatically awarded the scholarship.

Bell in fall — McDaniel's guaranteed Legacy Scholarships are valued at up to $132,000, or $33,000 annually over four years.

More than 100 first-year and transfer students have been awarded Educator and Military Legacy Scholarships by McDaniel College for fall 2025. McDaniel's Legacy Scholarships are valued at up to $132,000 over four years, or $33,000 annually for residential students ($22,000 annually for commuters).

There is no limit to the number of Legacy Scholarships awarded by McDaniel. Any admitted student who qualifies is automatically awarded the scholarship.

The Educator and Military Legacy Scholarships recognize the contributions of educators and military personnel, while making McDaniel accessible for a wide variety of families.

McDaniel has also recently expanded its suite of guaranteed Legacy Scholarships by adding scholarships for first responders, health professionals, and government employees. Read: "McDaniel College expands Legacy Scholarships"

The Educator Legacy Scholarship is awarded to students whose parent or guardian works full time in pre-K-12 or community college education.

The Military Legacy Scholarship honors all military veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their children. This includes children of military service members who died in the line of duty, regardless of years of service.
