McDaniel College earns Military Friendly® Silver Award
Published during Military Appreciation Month, McDaniel has been recognized for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year among the nation’s top schools for military and veteran students and as a Military Spouse Friendly School. McDaniel has annually made the Military Friendly® Schools list since 2009.
McDaniel College has once again been recognized among the nation’s top schools for military and veteran students by earning a Military Friendly® Schools designation with silver status for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year. This award means that McDaniel has scored among the top 20% out of more than 1,800 participating schools nationwide.
McDaniel has also been selected as a Military Spouse Friendly School for supporting military spouses in pursuing their educational goals.
The 2025-26 Military Friendly® Schools list is published in “G.I. Jobs®” magazine in both the May issue during Military Appreciation Month and in October, as well as online at MilitaryFriendly.com.

The Green Terror Battalion Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is one of the nation’s oldest ROTC programs founded at McDaniel College in 1919. McDaniel also offers a guaranteed Military Legacy Scholarship, valued at up to $120,000 over four years, to all military veterans, active-duty military personnel and their children. In addition, the college participates in the Post-9/11 GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program, which covers up to the cost of full tuition at McDaniel.
