McDaniel College introduces new Parent and Family Council

A new Parent and Family Council has been formed at McDaniel College to strengthen the partnership between the college and its families.

The McDaniel College Parent and Family Council serves as an advisory group for the college and is comprised of a diverse cross-section of families, which includes McDaniel’s most committed parents and family members.

Council members connect with prospective and current students and families, as well as support McDaniel’s philanthropic efforts. These parent and family leaders bring expertise, resources, and a passion for McDaniel College to both support and be actively engaged with the college.

• Nazre and Elizabeth Adum of Gaithersburg, Md. They are the parents of freshman Daniel Adum.

• Conchetta Comegys of Baltimore. She is the mother of sophomore Kobe Morrison.

• Dave and Becky Farace of Owings Mills, Md. They are the parents of sophomore Wyatt Farace.

• Susan Getz of Chester, Md. She is the mother of junior John C. Getz.

• Luis and Renee Hincapie of Wyndmoor, Pa. They are the parents of freshman Elena Hincapie.

• Diana Kloorfain Smart of New York, N.Y. She is the mother of sophomore Jane Smart.

• Becki Kula of Barrington, N.H. She is the mother of freshman Signe’ Kula.

• Arthur LaVeck of Reisterstown, Md. He is the father of sophomore Alexander LaVeck and incoming freshman Juliette LaVeck.

• Bill Martino of Brooklyn, N.Y. He is the father of sophomore Ryan Martino.

• Allison Miller of Ellicott City, Md. She is the mother of junior Hannah Miller and freshman Emma Miller.

• Tom Moore of Newark, N.J. He is the father of freshman Reid Moore.

• Walter Olson of New Market, Md. He is the father of junior Timothy Olson.

• Skip and Jill Persick of West Chester, Pa. They are the parents of junior Anna Persick.

• Debra Resnick of New York, N.Y. She is the mother of junior Danielle Resnick.

• Mennette D. San-Lee of Owings Mills, Md. She is the mother of freshman Maia San-Lee.

• Keith Smalls and Dr. Yottie Kenan-Smalls of Washington, D.C. They are the parents of freshman Zoey Smalls.

• Harry Swayne of Reisterstown, Md. He is the father of sophomore Christopher Swayne.

• Tyler and Michele Wilson of West Deptford, N.J. They are the parents of senior Mia Wilson and sophomore Matthew Wilson.
