McDaniel College has announced an approximately $15 million bequest, the largest gift in the college's history, along with the public launch of a $50 million comprehensive campaign entitled “Reaching New Heights: The Campaign for McDaniel College.” Learn more at campaign.mcdaniel.edu.
Associate Professor Qin Fang P’18, Ph.D. and her students are transcribing letters and diaries from McDaniel’s first two presidents. As they step into the past, they uncover previously overlooked ties between the college and Asia, and they find connections that transcend both time and distance.
When they’re not making new discoveries, collaborating across the country, or preparing to present at a national conference, students conducting summer research on campus stay entertained by naming fruit flies, wrangling lizards, and navigating conflicts with squirrels.
Maryland native T.J. Jordan has been selected as the new head men’s basketball coach at McDaniel College. Jordan helped launch the men’s basketball program at Notre Dame of Maryland University, serving as inaugural head coach, and was previously the head varsity boys’ basketball coach at McDonogh School.
