Five high school seniors surprised with full four-year scholarships as McDaniel's newest Dorsey Scholars
McDaniel College’s Admissions Office, along with the Green Terror, surprised five high school seniors from Anne Arundel and Carroll counties in Maryland and Lititz, Pennsylvania, with full four-year scholarships as the college’s newest Dorsey Scholars for the Class of 2030. The Dorsey Scholars Program is the highest academic honor at McDaniel.
Emily Stauffer, a senior at Warwick High School in Lititz, Pennsylvania, is among five students selected by McDaniel College as Dorsey Scholars for the Class of 2030.
Representatives from McDaniel College’s Admissions Office, along with the Green Terror, surprised five high school seniors from Anne Arundel and Carroll counties in Maryland and Lititz, Pennsylvania, by naming them the college’s newest Dorsey Scholars for the Class of 2030.
The Dorsey Scholars Program is the highest academic honor at McDaniel. Students are selected from the college's applicant pool to receive full tuition, room, and board for all four years at the college.
Dorsey Scholars are academic leaders and role models on campus. They also have distinctive opportunities, including serving as ambassadors of the college.
The Dorsey Scholars Program is supported by a $6.7 million estate gift from 1891 alumnus Philip Henry Dorsey, the largest bequest for scholarships in McDaniel’s history.
