Student running on track

Giving Back

From the moment they step foot on the Hill, our students set out on a journey to discover who they are meant to be. Every day they soar higher, propelled by their own power and also by those who lift them along the way—our alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, and friends. And as they soar, McDaniel does too.

Give Now Meet the Team

It's not one person or one thing. What makes McDaniel College run?

It's all the small things that make up the college experience.

Each year, the college has operating costs it must cover to provide the life-changing independent liberal arts education that our reputation has been built on for more than 150 years.

Do tuition and fees help with that? Of course!

The money paid to the college by current students and their families covers approximately 68% of the annual budget. We’re also fortunate to have a generous endowment and to receive funding from the state that, combined, covers an additional 23%.

But that still leaves about 9% of the college’s annual budget unaccounted for.

One Step, One Donation at a Time.

This is where your annual gift to McDaniel comes in. Last year, more than $225,000 came from gifts of $200 or less. That's less than $17 per month over the course of the year.

With your help, we can continue to provide the exceptional educational experience that allows McDaniel to change lives.

SO, STEP UP.

Giving Societies Gratitude & Recognition

McDaniel College would not be what we are today without the loyalty and generosity of you—our alumni and friends. McDaniel is the college that changes lives, but you are the lives that change our college. McDaniel's giving societies recognize donors whose support transforms our college.
