    A lecture by community organizer Rosa Clemente on Tuesday, March 5, and a celebration for International Women's Day on Friday, March 8, mark Women's History Month at McDaniel College. Both events are organized by McDaniel's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and are free and open to the public.

    Theatre Arts students direct and perform in production of “Eurydice”

    McDaniel College Theatre Arts students direct and perform in a production of “Eurydice," a reimagining of the classic myth of Orpheus told through the eyes of its heroine. Performances are Thursday, Feb. 29-Saturday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dorothy Elderdice Studio Theatre in WMC Alumni Hall. Note: the show contains themes of death and grief; may use fog.

    McDaniel Athletics announces Skyler Fultz '11 as new head football coach

    McDaniel alum Skyler Fultz '11 has been selected as McDaniel College's new head football coach. Fultz is the 28th head coach in the 133-year history of Green Terror football and the 10th alum to lead the program. He has spent the last nine years at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, including the 2023 season as head coach.

    Art majors display works in Honors Art exhibition

    McDaniel College’s student Honors Art exhibition features a variety of work from four Honors Art majors, Kaitlyn Barker, Sarah Mendez, Evan Meyers, and Brenay Spencer. The exhibition runs Tuesday, Feb. 20–Friday, March 8, in Esther Prangley Rice Gallery, Peterson Hall. An opening reception takes place Friday, Feb. 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m., with a gallery talk at 6 p.m.

    Sophomore matches with McDaniel for state’s first-in-the-nation public service program

    McDaniel College is among the host sites selected for Maryland’s Service Year Option and Maryland Corps, the nation’s first public service year program for high school graduates. Ameerah Johnson, a sophomore Criminal Justice and Sociology major, is fulfilling her commitment as an inaugural fellow of the program by assisting with student outreach at McDaniel, focused on promoting the eight dimensions of wellness.

    With NFL photography, Communication major develops her career

    This football season, senior Grayson Jons captured the action at Baltimore Ravens home games as a live content correspondent for the National Football League (NFL) — and some of her work has gone viral. The Communication major and Marketing minor has seamlessly paired her academics with her freelance photography during her time on the Hill.

    McDaniel College's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion hosts events in February in honor of Black History Month, including a Black History Month Convocation: Educational Showcase and Black History Month Convocation on Thursday, Feb. 8, and a discussion on “Navigating Higher Ed in the Current DEIJ Climate” on Thursday, Feb. 22. These events are free and open to the public.

    McDaniel alumni give back with Data Analytics internship

    Alums John Sobanski ’99 and Kevin Worley ’00 connected with their alma mater to invite graduate students in the M.S. in Data Analytics program to intern with their company, Pyramid Systems Inc. They knew it was the right call when Data Analytics student Michael Eniolade interned with their team.
